an okay stay
friendly staff efficient service private dining area poor soundproofing noisy floorboards loud music
i went with a group of eight for mother's day. we were looked after well. the staff were friendly and efficient. the private dining area was fine, and we got to use it.
the room lacked soundproofing. i heard squeezing floorboards from above often. there was no water for drinking in the rooms.

The breakfast was light, it suited my appetite perfectly after the evening meal. the room was nice and neat. It ensured a restful sleep after my workday. the staff offered a warm welcome. I greatly appreciated that after a stressful day. i found the included breakfast to be a pleasant surprise.
the shower in my room was not very powerful.

the hotel offers a good location for exploring the surrounding area. the hotel is situated near the pennine way hike trail. the hotel offers superb views. we loved the location, it was fine.

The room was a good size and provided adequate storage space. the bed was very comfortable, i almost did not want to leave. the room came equipped with plenty of towels. I found them very useful. the rooms are modern and clean.

underwhelming stay
faulty key poor apology
the night door key did not work. i was stuck outside in the cold. the reception staff offered no apology at checkout. they acted as if it was not a big deal.
